Can I just say I am proud of my little bow? It's the first time I tried making a bow with the use of a fork. Super duper easy!
This is what the sketch looked like:
It's back to crafting for me, who knows maybe I can get another card done today!

Day 5, the last day *sad face*
Happy Friday!!
I was so excited today was Friday....T.G.I.F! Mostly because one of my Simon Says Stamps shipments was supposed to arrive, but when I called my freight forwarder it seemed there was a delay in the freight shipment and now I have to wait a whole week again before I can get my goodies *frown* So tonight I had to make due with what I have in my stash for day 5 (our final day) of the online card classes holiday workshop 2014 *another frown* I swear the week flew by and there were so many helpful ideas, some I still really want to try out and practice.
Today it was all about tags! I was super happy that was today's topic. I am planning to make tags this year for my presents I will give to family and friends.
I decided to try a window tag tonight, it seemed to be the easiest thing to try and I was still bummed, since my tag dies were supposed to arrive today too. I made due with a free printout of tags I found on Pinterest.
Here is what the finished tag looks like:

Day 4
Ok, so I skipped some of the other days from the online card workshop. I did try out the watercolor technique we learnt, but I think I wet my paper too much and I messed up my project. I will retry in the weekend most likely. Today's lesson was a lot of fun and was based on one-layer cards. I still want to try out one of the techniques, but I am waiting on some of my new goodies to arrive and as soon as they do, I will have lots of fun playing around.
I decided to try today's lesson by Julie Ebersole. I didn't have a die to use, but instead I used a paper die that I recut on some scratch paper and then used that to stamp around. I used Green Hills shadow ink by Hero Arts.

I really love how the embossed "Happy Holidays" came out. I used Gold Tinsel embossing powder by Ranger. Let me know what you think of my card.

Day 1
This year I am taking the Holiday Card Workshop at onlinecardclasses.com. At first I didn't know what to expect and I am running a little behind with creating my cards, but that's ok. Today was day 2 of class, but I am updating my blog with a card inspired by the lessons of Day 1.
I really loved playing with water and my Tim Holtz distress ink. I used Peacock Feathers in the tag.
Hope you like the card, can't wait to keep creating beautiful holiday cards and continue learning new techniques.
I am also adding this card to Challenge #51 over at Addicted to CAS

Seize The Birthday: Washi
This week's Seize the Birthday challenge theme was "Washi" tape. I am a huge hoarder of washi tape, you can do so many creative things with washi tape. For my card this week I wrapped some scrap paper I had lying around and wrapped it in Washi tape, after that I ran it through my Big Shot machine and used small circle dies. This is how the card turned out:
Hope you like the card and had a wonderful weekend!

Retro Sketch 138
I have started to take part in challenges, just for the fun of it. This is one of the first challenges I am attempting. I was actually able to make 2 cards for this challenge, hosted by Retro Sketches, since it seemed like such a simple and easy card to make for many different occasions.

Runway Inspired Challenge
While browsing the web, hopping from one great card blog to the other I came across the Runway Inspired Challenge Blog. I thought this was an interesting take on card challenges and a picture from a designer is posted and you have to make a card inspired by the picture posted, mostly it’s one of a model.
This week’s picture was:
I do have to admit it took me some time to come up with something I was happy with, but I got it done, here is my take on the challenge:
After taking a few looks at the card I should have chosen a different sentiment, but it was stamped and done. I think a sentiment like “Just a Note” would have worked out better than the one I chose. That’s why I guess it’s very important to really think your cards through before stamping anything permanent. Hope you still enjoy the card!
